Auf dem Sockel
While we were looking for a suitable plinth for one of our exhibitions, a representative of Gerstaecker, a mail-order company for art supplies, happened to come into our gallery space and left us a product catalogue. Among other things, it contained a untreated gallery plinth with the product number 54031 (40 x 40 cm x 100 cm, for only Fr. 80.90 instead of Fr. 95.20 at the time).
After the mentioned exhibition, we thought it would be a pity if this plinth were to gather dust in a cellar and at some point only serve as food for wood moths.
That's why the nomadic exhibition series "on the plinth" was created.
«Auf dem Sockel» was active from 2022–2023 and was run by Leah Studinger and Raphael Reichert.
