The cooperative project Haus Oslo Ateliers was founded in 2017 and comprises a total of 16 studios and generates approximately 20 events per year. Located in the middle of the Dreispitz area on the border of Basel and Münchenstein, the premises are in the immediate vicinity of the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst (HGK), the Haus der elektronischen Künste (HeK), various project and exhibition spaces, Radio X and the Atelier Mondial. The main focus is on the promotion of free, professional art production as well as various events such as exhibitions, the "Aufzug Oslo", flea markets and open studios are being organized on site. As part of the weekly lunchtime event "Meet&Eat" for all tenants, friends and the neighborhood, Haus Oslo Ateliers is committed to connecting the partner institutions and fostering the diverse relationships among them. In addition to strengthening internal artistic ties, these regular encounters under the motto "From SOLO to OSLO" enable interesting interactions, especially for the guest artists from Atelier Mondial and all other guests of the house.
